I help organisations discover products that make people happy.

My commitments

When collaborating with a team, I make nine essential commitments that embody my leadership approach and beliefs. These commitments are not merely words, but fundamental principles that serve as a compass for our collective journey towards success. They reflect my deep dedication to fostering an environment where every team member can thrive, and where we work together to achieve our shared goals.

Let's schedule regular monthly 1:1 meetings, and I assure you that I will prioritize and protect these meetings on my calendar, making adjustments only in rare cases. However, if you ever have an urgent matter that requires my assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to me. Your success and well-being are of utmost importance to me, and I am here to support you in any way I can.

Topics for 1:1s will be in the meeting invite so we remember important topics, but you’re always free to use the time for whatever is on your mind. This is your time. If nothing more urgent comes up, we will spend our time together doing the following:
  • Personal connection

  • Discuss progress toward goals

  • Connect work to the larger mission, goals, & strategy of the company

  • Talk about career growth & life goals

  • Talk about career growth & life goals

  • Give and receive feedback (2-way)

No need for my approval on designs. I'll offer feedback and guidance when needed, but I trust you and all the partners to decide what's best for the company and our associates since you have the most relevant information.
You have the freedom to do your work your way, and my focus is on outcomes, not output. You decide how to reach our goals, and if I suggest an approach, I'll provide an example and the reason why.
I value openness, transparency, and candor. Regular feedback is essential. You'll receive fresh feedback from me, and nothing in your performance review will be a surprise.
I welcome your thoughts and will listen attentively without defensiveness, seeking understanding first.
I trust you to manage your own time. You don’t need to clear breaks or OOO time with me or provide justification. We all are humans first and employees second. Taking care of yourself, your family, and those close to you takes first priority.
I will attribute credit appropriately to you and your team. I will never exaggerate my own role or minimize your contribution. I’ll be especially certain to nail down attribution when senior management are hearing of our accomplishments.
